Alvaro Marquez is a creative engineer and designer with decades' worth of work behind his back... since the ancient days of Cool Edit 2000, Nuendo, Fruity Loops, Rebirth and Reason 1.0!
Located in the heart of Berlin, nearby the historical location of Tempelhof Airport HEAVY↯LOAD is Alvaro's private project studio, created on the belief that establishing a warm, personal and comfortable space for interaction and exchange of ideas delivers the best creative results. The sole purpose of the project studio is the sonic exploration and the production of music with distinct human elements: indie, alternative, punk, hardcore, metal, stoner, folk, goth, blues, psychedelia, roots, experimental, and so on...

1. Sound Recording & Engineering
Offering a selection of digital and analog equipment and latest software to capture your artistic moment. Simplicity, authenticity, quality and focus: the key elements for great recordings. Also in case you have a place already and just want me to help you track things in your space or rehearsal room and then mix it in my studio, we can also do that.

2. Music Production & Mixing
We can mix what we recorded together, or you can send me your tracks via WeTransfer or any other transfer service, or upload them to any shared online folder of yours. We can then discuss how the final record should sound like. Your mix lacks punch? clarity? excitement? Let’s give your song the final touch and make it radio-ready!

3. Voice over & Audiobooks
The main room in the studio is IDEALLY built for capturing the human voice, be it singing, performing or doing some postproduction duties:

HeavyLoad is a project studio with plenty of vibe and mojo going on, leveraging state-of-the-art analog and digital gear with both the best of modern and vintage equipment. The studio's main room is outfitted with Prism Sound converters, Adam Audio's professional monitoring line, and features a vintage BFE BC30 broadcast mixer with 24 channels of analog processing that was custom-built for a german radio station near Heidelberg in the late 70s.
